Create Discount for Event Registration

Overview


The EVA Event Tech Hub Discount feature is designed to provide a seamless and flexible way for event organizers to offer discounts and promotional deals to their attendees. It enhances attendee engagement and increases ticket sales by providing dynamic pricing options.

Below are are steps for how to Navigate to Discount feature on Salesforce:

  1. Open “EVA Event Tech Hub” App (Refer to “How to open EVA Event Tech Hub App”)
  2. Open Event Builder (Refer to the article “How to navigate to Event Builder”)
  3. Open Discount Menu (Event Builder > Discount Menu Page)

New Discount - You can create new discounts for the Event.




Discount Table- All the created discount details will show on this page.


           


  1. Event - This will auto populate the event name mentioned on the Event Info. page.
  2. Discount Name - Enter the name of the discount you want to create.
  3. Discount Code - Enter the Code name of the discount you want to create.
  4. Price or Percentage - You can either create a Price or a Percentage based discount.
  5. Discount Price - Mention the price of the discount you want to offer.
  6. Discount Percentage - Mention the percentage of the discount you want to offer.
  7.  Discount Timings - Select the Start and End date along with the it’s timings.
  8. Number of Discounts Allowed - You can put the available quantity of the discounts.
  9. Discount Applied To - You can either select Entire Purchase or Ticket Specific.



Entire Discount Code:

  • Applies only to the subtotal of the order value.
  • Can only be applied once per order.
  • No other discount codes can be used alongside it.

In the below image you can see the list of created discount codes:



In the below Image you can see that the Discount Code (E2) is created for 25% Discounted Value which will apply to Entire Order.


In the below Image you can see that the Discount Code (E2) is applied to the Subtotal Order value. $50 is 25% of $200.

Ticket-Specific Discount Code:

  • Applies only to selected tickets.
  • One discount code can be created for Multiple tickets.
  • Multiple Ticket-Specific Discount Codes can be applied in a single order.

In the below image you can see the list of created discount codes:



In the below Image you can see that the Discount Code (T1) is linked with Two Tickets and the value of the discount code is $10.


In the below Image you can see that the Discount Code (T3) is linked with Two Tickets and the value of the discount code is $10.


In the below Image you can see that the both the Discount Code (T1 & T3) are applied and their discount values are applied on each ticket separately. The discount code only get applied to the tickets which are linked and are added in the cart.

Remove Discount: If you want to remove the link between a created discount code and the ticket, you have to navigate to the Ticket details page and remove it from there.



General Restrictions:

  • Multiple Entire Order Discount Code cannot be applied in the same order.
  • Both Entire Discount Code and Ticket-Specific Discount Codes cannot be used in the same order.
  • A Ticket-Specific Discount Code can be linked to multiple tickets, but each ticket can have only One such code.
