Overview
The Field Mapping feature in EVA Event Tech Hub enables seamless data integration between Salesforce Contacts and Registration Forms fields. This functionality ensures that contact details from Salesforce are accurately mapped to fields in a custom event form, facilitating smooth data synchronization for event registration and attendee management.
Below are are steps for how to Navigate to Discount feature on Salesforce:
- Open “EVA Event Tech Hub” App (Refer to “How to open EVA Event Tech Hub App”)
- Open Event Builder (Refer to the article “How to navigate to Event Builder”)
- Open Field Mapping Menu (Event Builder > Field Mapping Menu Page)
Before creating the Field Mapping Form please make sure that the Registration Form is created.
You can Map only the same data type fields for both the Contact and Custom Form.
In the Event Builder click on the Field Mapping Menu Item:
Please Read the Notes mentioned on the Form page to have the clarity of what you are going to do before proceeding to start the mapping:
Default Mapping is for First Name, Last Name and Email fields only.
You can do the mapping between the other fields and then Set as Default so that you don't have to do this again on your next event if same fields are used.
You can also provide a Default value for any Registrant Form Field where the user don't have to fill the data but it will get updated to their contact records.
You can also Remove the Default Mapping for those fields only which you have created.
Advantages of Field Mapping:
- Contact record gets updated timely.
- Mapped field data gets Auto populated on the Registration form fields.
- The user don't have to type every time for same questions asked when they Register.
